Shh!! I have to be very quiet. Wendy is asleep and I don't want her to know that I've figured out how to use the computer. She'll think she's had a nervous breakdown if she wakes up and sees her dog typing. But I say that if she wants to give me credit as a co-editor for this Suite 101 thing, then I should at least have some say about the articles. Wendy wants to do some silly article about longhaired Rottweilers or something like that, but I say "NO!". If she wants to write about something else, then she's just going to have to wait until next month, because I want to tell you about my big vacation first.
We just got back from dog camp! Yes, that's right, a camp just for dogs and their owners. It was so much fun. Wendy took Matt and I with her. Wendy says that Matt is her 11-year-old cousin, but I think he's really one of my littermates. After all, I've grown up with him like a littermate. I wonder if it's possible for a Rottweiler to have a human littermate that's 2 years older? Hmmm. But I'm getting away from myself. Wendy says that there are several dog camps across the country, but I wouldn't know that. I just know about this one. It's held by a group called Dog Scouts of America. I think it's based on an organization that humans have for their kid-pups, but I'm not sure. Dog Scout camps offer several different activities that are open to any kind of dog. Dogs can earn little round pieces of cloth called merit badges for each activity. I'm not quite sure what use a merit badge is. You can't eat them - trust me, I tried. But for some reason, the humans were very proud when a dog got one. Then again, just between you and me, humans are a bit strange at times. The camp is in the northern, lower peninsula of Michigan and we had to drive through 3 states to get there. Wow!! I thought I would never get out of that car. But we arrived on my 9th birthday of all days, and I knew right away that this was going to be one of the best birthday presents ever. For a minute I thought that I'd died and gone to doggy heaven. Oh, you would not believe the smells! And there were deer tracks everywhere. Yummy!
