John co-scripted and starred in Grosse Pointe Blank, a movie about a hitman who returns home for his 10-year high school reunion and romances the girl (Minnie Driver) he stood up on prom night. In a bit of life imitating art, John actually returned home for his real 10-year reunion in order to honor a bet he made about the film’s financing, he also romanced Minnie.
Kate won the British bookseller W. H. Smith Young Writers’ competition twice when she was in her teens--once for short stories and once for poems. Related sites:
