Christmas in Connecticut
Dennis Morgan is charming as the hometown, hungry hero with just a touch of bad boy in him. The instantaneous sparks between him and Barbara are nearly enough to colorize this film! Christmas in Connecticut is an adorable, fish-out-of-water holiday film. Thanks to Phyllis Williams for the recommendation. I loved the bath time scene in the beginning. Elizabeth's panic, then relief, are tangible as she passes the buck, er baby, to Jefferson. It's a delight to see how she ingeniously scrambles out of one mess only to land in another. Thank goodness for Uncle Felix! I give this festive, fluff four hearts. Best moment: Best lines: "The things a girl will do for a mink coat." Elizabeth "Oh, it's Yardley. He's sending me a sailor for Christmas." Elizabeth "But, if you'll forgive my saying so Uncle Felix, I won't feel
quite the same as if you'd cooked it, Mrs. Sloan." "Having babies to boost your circulation takes time." Sloan to Yardley. "I find it hard to believe you're married." "Nice firm rump." Jefferson speaking to a horse, though Elizabeth thinks at first he's speaking to her. "Well, wouldn't you look different if you'd swallowed a
watch?" "If a cow can do it, I can do it." "You mean you're arresting us?" "I changed my type." "I'm as free as a bird." If you liked this you might like: Did you know?
