It is a compelling read about real people dealing with and avoiding real problems. Aside from weaving a captivating story, Hoffman creates prose so captivating and lulling that it is difficult to put this book down.
I recommend this book highly for readers who want to get lost for a while in a sleepy New England town and for writers who want to see how a master spins a tale with words and paper.
