LOVERS is an intoxicating potion composed of profiles of highly inspirational modern-day love matches. While I originally bought this book to read "a clip at a time," I was so enthralled by the stories it told that I became unable to put it down and went on to read it in one sitting.

This quality coffee-table book spans almost a century, with focuses on love-pairs of the 1920/30s like F. Scott/Zelda Fitzgerald, Alice B. Toklas/Gertrude Stein and Bonnie/Clyde Darrow, to matches of the later 20th century, like Muhummad/Lonnie Ali, and Ellen DeGeneres/Anne Heche.

Tucked beneath a stunning photograph of Paul Newman and Joanne Woodward in their youth, are 50 feature profiles and 50 exquisite and well-chosen duotone photographs of the subjects. Friends, admirers, and the lovers themselves have penned contributions to this charming and inspiring collection of adoring remembrances, delicious quotes and inspiring anecdotes.
