Romantic Picnics © Michele KayD

This is the middle of a three-part feature on romantic meals. Last week, the focus was on the luxury of Breakfast in Bed. Next week, check back for Romantic Dinners for Two. To begin planning your perfect picnic, consider the time of day and the place of your unique al fresco dining experience. One of the ideal considerations is a spot that will allow as much privacy and intimacy as possible. Note and special hint/suggestion: A picnic does not necessarily mean a lunchtime indulgence. Picnics can be highly enticing in twilight settings as well!! With that in mind, consider the following options. Locations: on a patio or deck
in a park
in a gazebo
on a beach
on a mountainAnd don't let rainy days spoil your plans; Simply use a little imagination... pitch a tent (at your original location, if permissible)
in the living room floor (also can incorporate the tent here, or throw in some pillows for fun)Items to Pack:Beverages
wine or sparkling cider
lemon iced tea
fruit smoothies
coffee
iced cappachino Supplies
plates (paper, plastic, or china)
silverware (plastic or the real thing)
napkins
