If sultry summertime nights bring out equally sultry feelings, why not try a little fantasy play with your honey? Let the air conditioner crank and make use of the respite from the sweltering rays. Or, go with the heat by elevating your intimacy levels in proportion. Use provocative writing, talking, or reading to express your inner desires.
If one or both partners are a bit shy or uncomfortable with open, erotic expression, try something a little milder such as describing (verbally or on paper) a romantic/erotic setting or mood. For instance, detail a bathtub filled to the rim with bubbles and soft music in the background...or maybe a bed surrounded by candles and rose petals strewn across the turned down sheets...or a campout for two under the stars. If it's possible, go ahead and recreate the scene. For instance, the last scenario could be brought to reality by adjoining sleeping bags outside on a private patio or backyard. One notch bolder would be to list fantasy scenarios such as:
And, up yet another level... Consider writing out a steamy fantasy with you and your partner as the main characters. Describe everything you see, how it'll feel, etc. Perhaps you can both lie side-by-side in bed with candles and music, and maybe even some wine to invite relaxed, sensual auras. After composing individual fantasies, read them aloud. If aroused, you'll be set for a night (or morning, or afternoon) of passionate loving. That's the goal, after all! So, what if you're not that creative or good at expressing visions into written words? Try reading the fantasies created by others. There's lots of excellent erotic literature appropriate for any type of lover. Opt for sensual fiction, fantasy, or even poetry. Classic sensual poets such as Pablo Neruda, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Sappho, and Adrienne Rich are elite picks. Try some of these: Literature Links:Synopsis: "From the passion of sexual desire to the intense longing for spiritual union, this extraordinary collection of poems celebrates the erotic spirit in all of its forms from Egyptian love songs of the 15th century to today's finest poets.
