Love And Laughter

Is your relationship getting ho hum? Are you and your partner finding yourselves stuck in a boring day-in-day-out routine of all work and very little play? Lighten up and give your relationship a boost for the better! By simply adding a little fun to your togetherness, you can turn the mundane, predictable scene into a enlightening, bonding experience. Be prepared for an uplifting twist full of fun!!

If you've ever taken one of those delightful Cosmo quizzes, and especially if you've ever shared one with your mate, you probably have experienced the fun and humor in the process. It may have lead you to a discussion or a round of giggles, but most likely it somehow brought the two of you together and quite possibly even encouraged some new learning about the relationship. That's ultimately the purpose of these little magazine quizzes: to open up communication and thoughts, and hopefully to add an element of fun into relationships of all types.

These quizzes, along with an infinite number of other forms of games and whimsical explorations for couples, add a crucial quality to relationships: fun. Without laughter and smiles, no partnership - or friendship in general - will ever be as fulfilling as it could and should be. We all need to give in to humor every once in a while, if not daily. Remember: both love and laughter have been scientifically proven to benefit our mental and physical health and well-being. Individually, or ideally when combined, they can lower stress levels, improve the functions of body systems, and even add years to our lives.

Consider some of the ways to turn any day or night alone into a light-hearted and possibly downright romantic venture:

  • go to an amusement park together (ride the tunnel of love, kiss cotton candy off each other's lips, win prizes for you partner, get your fortunes told...)
  • visit a planetarium and "make out" under the stars when the lights go out!
  • leave work early and spend a leisurely afternoon strolling through the zoo hand-in-hand
  • have a pajama party with your mate. Suggestions: the sexier the attire the better. Include a pillow fight then "make up"; have a tickle-until-one-of-us-gives round (make a deal for the winner); feed each other in bed; watch your favorite romantic comedy while you snuggle under the blankets...
  • plan on a weekend getaway (maybe go camping or to a quaint, private bed and breakfast in the country)
  • attend a carnival and act like teenagers again
