Riding home from someplace insignificant, the "love songs in the night" program blared from my speakers. Hearing the opening stanza of a cherished ballad, transported my mind to a moment long since lost within my heart. It was one of those connections that instantly brings the soul back to a particular place and time, when strong emotions are associated with music.

Whether listening to sentimental love tunes on the car stereo, slow dancing to a special song, singing to (or being serenaded by) tender lyrics, or making love to a sexy Cd, it's easy to relate the potent impact of music with romance. For this reason, one of the most cherished gifts to present a sweetheart is a personal compilation of significant love songs. Many couples even choose one romantically meaningful tune as their signature song

According to a Harlequin Romance report, which was based on a 1996 poll of 100 disc jockeys, the top ten love duets of all time are as follows:

10. "I Got You Babe" (...yes, I know, but it was in the list) by Sonny and Cher
