Love Poetry/Prose Contest

The fall and early winter holidays are past, but the big romance celebration is yet to come. All the hustle and bustle of gifting and socializing with friends and family are peacefully in the past. Now is the time to think fondly to the more intimate festivities to share with your special someone, just the two of you--no crowds, no hassles, no obligations to do anything but indulge in each other. Perhaps it is the "best for last" philosophy, but the point is, there is no reason to suffer from those post holiday blues. Simply start looking forward to the most lovable day of the year, which is actually only a little over a month away!

This week, in pre-preparation for Valentine's Day, a special Romance Suite feature debuts. There is officially a new contest open to readers, and this will continue to run for the next several weeks. Here's your chance to dig out your most steamy poetry or prose from the past or, better yet, use this as a prompt to create some fresh romantic writing. Pen your passion for your lover or compose your feelings about love, in general. Email romantix@iname.com with your personal romantic poem or your most touching love letter. Depending on the number and quality of entries received, there may be two separate categories. The winning entry(s) will appear in a special Valentine's tribute feature and, as a reward, a copy of 100 Love Sonnets, Pablo Neruda's sensual collection, will be sent to the most romantic composer. It would make a wonderful addition to your February 14th gift collection! Consider it my gift to you. Good luck!!
