Recharging Romance

One of the most commonly cited reasons for relationships faltering is that the romance fizzles over time. Read just about any woman's magazine, tune into television or radio talk shows, or simply speak to a group of coupled friends, and undoubtedly you'll hear tales of how mates tend to drift apart when the romance fades.

Surely, the romance level is heightened in the beginning stages of a relationship. Both partners are committed to making good impressions, winning the admiration and respect of their mate, and ultimately feeling as if the partnership is a priority. Why is that we readily treasure and cherish the newness of love, yet accept that it most likely can't last. The elation of falling in love is one avenue of romance, but it's not - nor does it inevitably have to be - the final or only kind of romance. Actually the best version (not to mention the truest) is the kind of romance that remains and exists as the years wear on.

Before getting into the exciting links I've collected for recharging romance, here is a listing of a few past Romance Suite articles which touch on the issue and present some suggestions of my own.
