He demands to be taken to her sanctuary. When Gabrielle fights Preston, he ties her up and puts her in his car. Adams was sent to kill her but he can’t because he knows she is not evil. He has been following her. Gabrielle starts to trust Preston because he has had many opportunities to kill her but hasn’t. Preston has to come up with a plan to confront his grandfather who is in charge of the vampire hunters. The vampire killing must stop. Preston tells Gabrielle of his brother Cameron (who does indeed hunt vampires). Gabrielle is Preston’s first assignment and if he doesn’t kill her, Cameron, his brother, will. Her good friend, Angel, is Cameron’s assignment and Preston finally let’s her warn him so they can hurry up and get away. Preston goes on the lamb with Gabrielle hoping for time, he takes her to the beach. Vampires hate the beach because of the sun, salt and seawater. He hopes for a little time. Angel comes for her because the tribunal thinks Gabrielle is guilty of treason because she hasn’t killed Preston. They want her to prove herself by killing Preston, which she can never do. If she doesn’t, the tribunal will sentence her to death. This book is outstanding! Brave sidekicks and a love to withstand time, this book has a great plot twist at midpoint and a revelation for both Gabrielle and Preston. Fast paced, paranormal, suspense, and much more will keep you turning the pages to see what happens next. I can only wonder why Ms. Dartt hasn’t been snapped up before. I look forward to reading more from Jewel Dartt. This is a keeper. Jewel Dartt lives in the beautiful North Carolina mountains, but paranormal is her first love, and she is thrilled to bring you her first book, ENEMY MINE. 4+ Go To Page: 1 |
