Sophie Wentworth always followed around blue-blooded Grayson Hawthorne when she was a child. Sophie, a child prodigy with the Cello, loved him even then.

Sophie left in a rush for Europe after seeing Grayson with another women. Not just any other woman, mind you. You will have to read the book to find out who it was. After Sophie makes a name for herself in Europe, she receives a letter from her father asking her to come home.

Not long after Sophie returns to Boson she finds out that Grayson now owns Swan’s Grace, her family home. The home is in her name but she had given her father permission to oversee the home while she was gone. Grayson didn’t know that the home was sold to him without Sophie’s knowledge. He also finds out that Sophie knows nothing of the betrothal made by her father in her name, either. Sophie and her entourage situate themselves at Swan’s Grace and Grayson, not so graciously, goes to stay at a hotel in town. Grayson still works out of Swan’s Grace as an attorney.

Sophie vows to get her home back from the man who can still set her blood on fire by just standing there.

Sophie meets Grayson’s receptionist, Ms. Pruitt, and promptly behaves so badly that the stuffy but efficient Ms. Pruitt quits. Sophie tries to get to the bottom of the issue with Swan’s Grace but her father refuses to see her. Grayson intends to woo her so she will marry him. Sparks fly when Sophie finds out that her father not only sold her home but also engaged her to Grayson

This is an adorable book. It made me laugh, cry, and of course, sigh when it was over. I look forward to reading the sequel with Lucas.

Before turning her hand to writing, Linda Francis Lee taught probability and statistics. Lee is also the author of Dove’s Way. She currently lives with her husband, Michael, in New York City, where she is at work on her next historical romance.
