An avalanche hit Meg Wexler's car on her way to Castle Phoenix. When Meg woke up, she had amnesia. She was hurt, confused and had no idea of who or where she was or more importantly, who the handsome man was that was standing over her bed, staring down at her.

Dr. Glenn Bridgman, former military officer was continuing his life's work at Castle Phoenix. It was his top priority. Castle Phoenix was a high security laboratory and housing unit. There was no way anyone could just show up there because it was heavily guarded. Of course, there were those who wanted what he had. He continued his work regardless. He approved the mission, Operation Clean Sweep and he was responsible to the people that participated in it.

Her identification said was Meg Wexler and where she lived but none of it was even vaguely familiar. She looked in the mirror and the face that stared back to her was unfamiliar. One can only imagine what that might feel like. After her concussion healed, she asked to leave the castle. The only information she had about herself was from her wallet. Security refused to let her leave the castle. They were convinced that she was there to steal the project and/or kill Dr. Bridgman.

Meg was falling in love with Glenn but no matter how she tried, she couldn't figure out why she was on the road to the castle. Could she have wanted to steal from him? Was she going to hurt or even kill Glenn? How could she fall in love with a man she may have been sent to kill? And how come every time she turned around, someone was trying to kill her?
