His Only Son by Kelsey Roberts

His Only Son Kelsey Roberts Harlequin Intrigue 1999 ISBN: 0-373-22535-0

Jasper, Montana. Callie Walters, painter has been looking for her missing son, Michael for three years. She has done everything possible to find her son who was kidnapped at three months old. Whenever she heard of a found dead child, she followed up and waited anxiously for the identification. She was obsessed with the news in hope of a child being found. I think we all would be. She contacted every agency for help to no avail and finally hired a Private Investigator who was recommended by her father and stepmother.

Sam Landry, financial consultant and oldest of the seven Landry men, thinks his son, Kevin may be Callie's missing son. Sam hires Callie on the pretext of painting some landscapes of his ranch. Callie jumps at the opportunity to earn some extra cash so she can get Jim York back to work looking for her son.

After finding out that Kevin wasn't Lynn's biological son, Sam's tried to adopt him. Boy was he surprised to find out that the mother was not only still alive, but lived very close indeed. Sam wasn't going to let any one take his son from him. He is the best father and has seen to everything Kevin could possibly need.

What Sam really needs now is something with Callie's DNA on it to see if Callie is Kevin's biological mother and a hindrance to Kevin's adoption. Sam didn't expect to like Callie and Callie refused to even think of romance. Her priority is and has been for the past three years, her missing son. Now she found him, she doesn't need anything more, does she?

Kelsey Roberts is writing a series on the seven Landry men and you can be sure that each one will be intriguing and suspenseful. Kelsey spent time in college studying the criminal justice system, history of violence against women and law. I'd love to mosey up to one of these brothers myself. 3 1/2
