23 Tribute for Ian Stewart for 250 invited guests in "100 Club", London. The Stones (billed as Rocket ’88) play with Eric Clapton, Pete Townshend, Jack Bruce, Simon Kirk and Jeff Beck. It’s the first time the Stones have played together live in almost five years
25 The Stones are presented with the Grammys' Lifetime Achievement award by Eric Clapton in London's Roof Garden club. The event is shown via satellite to the U.S. Jeff Beck, Eurythmics' Dave Stewart, and Keith's mum are in attendance. They band presents a promo video for their new single
26 "Harlem Shuffle"/"Had it With You" released

20 Working with his AIMS charity, Bill puts together a benefit for the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Sick Children Wishing Well Appeal. The concert at the Royal Albert Hall features Elvis Costello, Chrissie Hynde, Chris Rea and an “all star”band featuring Bill, Ron Wood, Phil Colins, Terence Trent D’Arby, Eddy Grant, Ray Cooper, Kenny Jones and Ian Dury. Bill later complains that the producer of the show got a letter of thanks but he didn’t
