New "Artists' and Musicians'" Art Gallery to Open

http://www.ArtAllDay.com will sell and auction rare numbered limited edition glossy photographs of REM, Paul McCartney, Jagger & Richards of The Stones, Johnny Rotten and others by noted photographer Terry Allen (who's been in Rolling Stone and Spin).

ArtAllDay.Com launches February 1st with an online art auction. All proceeds will go to the Mental Health Association of Northeast Georgia. Every year Michael Stipe donates a signed photograph he's taken to benefit Mental health. This year the entire world will be able to bid on this rare piece (as well as other rare photos of the singer and band, R.E.M.) and help the Mental Health Association. Stipe's pieces have hit over $1000, but this year's is expected to bring much more. ``I'm always happy to contribute to this great organization and cause,' says Michael.

In addition to hosting the benefit auction, ArtAllDay.com will display and sell artwork from young emerging artists from all over the world. Uniquely, however, the gallery will be home to art by musicians and artists who are somehow related to music.

(Editor's note: The picture of Mick and Keith was to have gone on sale on Valentines Day but it was not on the site at the time of publication.)

Spokesman: UK's Blair Did Not Block Jagger Honor
British Prime Minister Tony Blair's office has denied reports he had blocked Rolling Stones pop legend Mick Jagger from being knighted by Queen Elizabeth on New Year's Eve.

A Downing Street spokeswoman said media reports claiming Blair had decided against a knighthood for Jagger because the rock star's high profile love life jarred with the government's family values drive were ``not true.'

The Queen's press spokesman was not immediately available for comment on the reports, which claimed the Queen had no objection to honoring the aging pop idol.
