The Amazing Adventures of the Rolling Stones Part 1

Most of us have encountered some form of fan fiction. Some of it is good, some bad. Personally I think a little imagination is a good thing. While watching a movie recently I was reminded of a story I had read a few years ago. With the permission of the author, Sue D. Nym, I present to you Part One of a continuing story. I hope you enjoy this first foray into the realm of fan fiction.

2000 Light Years From Home
Hanna materialized in the darkened room and paused to get her barrings. It took her a moment to realize that the horrendous sounds emanating from the direction of the bed was snoring. Quietly she moved to the side of the bed and looked down at the figure lying there.

He was in his mid-fifties, short graying hair sprung out in little tufts all around his head. Hanna wondered if he cut it himself. He was smiling to himself, eyes active behind their closed lids as if he was having a very pleasant dream. Hanna decided there was no need to wake him. There would be lots of time to explain when he woke up naturally.

Hanna thought he wasn't as impressive as she had expected. This man was a legend, barely remembered, but still a legend she had expected him to be larger than life. She smiled at the thought of how surprised her parents were going to be to see them. As she lifted the blanket she noticed he was naked. Mother will be pleased, Hanna thought as she took a small purple circular wafer out of her beltpac and pressed it to the sleeping man's forehead. She pressed a button on the navfinder on her wrist and the man disappeared. With a smile, Hanna pushed another button and she too vanished.

The sound of gunfire made Hanna jump behind the couch as she materialized into the brightly-lit room. Keeping her head down she looked around wildly for the source of the sound. After a minute she discovered that the noise was coming from the video on the primitive view screen. Confident there was no danger she peered over the couch at the man sleeping there.

He was very lean, almost to thin, especially for a man in his early fifties. His black hair spiked crazily over the top of his head making a strange pattern over the cushion his head rested on. Hanna would have recognized him anywhere: the prominent nose, the sweetly
