Keith Richards - December 18, 1943
Many say that the love-hate relationship between Richards and Jagger resembles a marriage. If so, it seems a very mis-matched affair. Jagger, it seems, was drawn to music for the money, fame and women. Richards, on the other hand, became a musician because he could not imagine doing anything else.
Richards' solo career has showcased his endless ability to create great rock 'n' roll guitar riffs. "Talk Is Cheap" had a raw energy that had many people dancing. Richards took his studio band (the X-Pensive Winos) on the road - the one place Richards feels his life has any order. A video and a live album of the first-ever solo tour, "Keith Richards & TheX- Pensive Winos Live At The Hollywood Palladium December 15, 1988" were released in 1991. His second solo album, 1992's "Main Offender," continued Richards' legend while earning acclaim from critics and fans alike. Keith Richards has a slightly bemused outlook on his career. He has recently admitted to finally coming to terms with being a "pop star." Richards never really changes, he just plays on. Awards: 1989 - inducted (with the Stones) into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall Of Fame. Albums:
Live At the Hollywood
