Heart of Stone

access. A few of the people who were in the music industry in the '60s like Ray Davies are mentioned but she really stretches it when she mentions The Marquess of Bath. Just because the Stones played a concert in the Marquess' family home in the '60s, it doesn't mean she has anything relevant to say about Mick Jagger.

It is obvious that she has read Bill Wyman's autobiography, Stone Alone, when she comments that Bill has said that Mick and Keith were mean to Brian. She also calls Mick, Keith and Andrew the "unholy trinity" - which is Bill's name for them yet she doesn't mention Bill's book.

I wonder if the publisher even bothered to use a fact checker on this book, or were they in too much of a rush to cash in on Jagger being in the headlines again? Jackson mentions that Keith Richards changed his name to Richard because it was more in line with the band's image. Through out the book, she refers to Keith as Richard even though it was changed back to Richards years ago. It's all the little things that take away the creditability.

If for some reason you hate Mick Jagger, you'll love this book. If you want a well informed, well researched, non-biased look at Jagger's life, you're going to have to wait for another book.
