Starting on March 4th, I will once more be providing new weekly or biweekly articles and fresh links every month. I’m pleased to announce that I will be changing my topic name and focus, expanding beyond White Wolf to tackle the role-playing game genre more expansively. Role-playing is both a recreation and an art form. In its short 30-odd year history, the RPG industry has grown by leaps and bounds, creating thousands of products for hundreds of thousands of fans. From traditional “pencil and paper” games to LARPS to console games to online chats, role-playing environments are as diverse as human imagination.
Would you like to see a particular game or sourcebook reviewed? Do you have an RPG-related web set that you would like to have me add to my RPG Site library? Please submit any requests to the discussion forum available on this site or email me privately. Help me provide the kind of information and resources that you, my readers, will find most useful.
Why all of these changes?
To be blunt, because this is the perfect time to make changes. Several other Suite101 authors with RPG-related topics have retired in the past few months. I’ve been presented with a golden opportunity to create a new nexus for Suite101 gaming-related information. In addition, as my own career continues to slowly move from RPG fan to RPG developer, I’m becoming more involved with games and gaming communities outside of White Wolf. It simply made sense to me that my presence on Suite101 should do the same.
You can expect my site to get its new “look” during Sunday-Tuesday, and for general RPG gaming articles to start shortly thereafter. I will also do my best to provide a user-friendly index to all the role-playing game articles that already exist on Suite101 as part of my upcoming projects. It is my goal to provide some high quality, thought-provoking commentary on RPGs, the people who love them, and the people who love to make them. Don’t be afraid to start a discussion or send me a private mail regarding your opinion on how well I’m succeeding at this endeavor. Go To Page: 1
