Tribebook: Black Furies (Rev) Product ReviewThe Revised Tribebook also provides valuable material for role-playing Black Furies including details on running Rites of Passage and fighting with the labrys, the two-headed war axe with special symbolical relevance to the Furies. Chapter Three begins with offering suggestions in customizing Backgrounds for Black Fury characters with suggestions on appropriate Camp-Background combinations. A copious amount of new gifts and rites are offered with both TT and MET rules. The majority are level one or level two, making them easily accessible for player characters. Rather than delving into new totems, the traditional totems are covered far more in-depth, including a write up for each individual Gorgon. My favorite component of the Tribebook is one of the new templates, the "Modern-Day Atropos" which offers a fascinating character who underwent her late change in her 50s, a far cry from the idea of a teenage Garou cub. It serves as part of the Tribebook's inspirational approach in reaching beyond the "angry young woman" stereotype to present the Black Furies as a diverse and fascinating people who seek to empower the weak as well as avenge the victimized. I recommend that WtA fans invest in this new Tribebook and look forward to the continuation of the series.
