UFO - Great English Riff Rock Band of the 1970s

Discography Highlights

1975 -Phenomenon

Contains two of the greatest guitar tracks of the 70s, plus the rest of the songs are pretty good and a nice instrumental Lipstick Traces

1976- No Heavy Petting Not riff heavy, more song structure - Songs such as Belladonna and Highway Lady could be termed precursors to the monster ballads of the next decade. (Though, Phil Mogg's lyrics were actually good.)

1977- Lights Out the penultimate UFO album, featuring the 70s AOR staples Too Hot Too Handle and Lights Out

1978 - Obsession. Though rarely mentioned as a major listen to by critics, it's a great record. With straight-ahead rockers such as Cherry, Only You Can Rock Me and Pack It Up And Go.
