Interview: Different Poets Tell of Inspirations and Rituals II

Every now and then memories of how she left her flat mate suffering in deep conflict with others seeped through to Annie's consciousness. As this happened ever so temporarily the song would go in a very sad direction.

"Melaleuca Magical Song
Power of the Dream Time lingering on
Woman weeping, something is wrong
Sisterhood singing a tragic song
Heal this woman now she needs you so
Healing channeled to help her grow."

When she was not in meetings and doing her chores Annie found time to swim. It had become her custom to swim away her sadness in a therapeutic manner. She would swim in laps - stopping at each end to draw a deep breath. "Uh huh huh huh huh" Once she had warmed up to the rhythm she would breath deeply and allow herself to cry through out the routine. The water flowing over her face washing her tears away. This made her feel cleansed and salved. She always left the water feeling released and relieved. It was as though she had expressed her sorrow to her God and in thus doing she could let her issues go for the day.

And then the evening began to fall. "
