Amateur Poet: Kendall DryeThe amateur poet section of this website is dedicated to all those out there that have this feeling of complete satisfaction when you pick up that pen. The people who do it for the mere joy of it all. The feeling that nothing ever could be more blissful than your emotions scattered on a blank page. The amateur poet of the month for October is Kendall Drye. Kendall shows an understanding of what it takes to write poetry. In her poem, CORD, she is able to channel her emotions of want to the reader. I think most people can appreciate the feeling of being in love, the need to stay close. All with the want to never be separated. Kendall has impressed many with her potrayal of a love poem. CORD I look in your eyes, I can feel my heart begin to bleed, My pain cries out, As you have to leave. I know that in the future, I will see you again, But for now my soul, Is but a dark cloud of rain. I know you care for me, Nothing less than love, And my life with out your heart, I don't dare think of. And even though my heart, Has began to descend, In my mind I know, This is not the end.
