Go USA, Go Pinecone, Go NFO, Go Surveys!

I've enjoyed being a member of many U.S.-based panels that pay. Really enjoyed my participation, actually, as a five dollar check sent for giving my two cents, is worth almost double, where I am. Although sites like spiderMetrix, the International Survey Room, and others described in my last article are making an impact worldwide, it's fair to say that the majority of the companies worth sharing your thoughts with, or so say I, are based in the United States.

Although many survey sites I have recommended to date are open internationally, a few that are are open to U.S. residents only are worth noting. They are the focus of today's article.

I'd like to describe some of the sites that get rave reviews on American survey message boards.
The sites that almost tempt me to move to America.
The sites that I'd recommend joining if you happen to live in the USA. They are:

Pinecone Research - cash for each survey
The first of these is Pinecone Research. This is the part of my article where I would normally give you a link to a sign-up page. That's not possible with Pinecone Research, formerly known as Acorn Research. They prefer to recruit in their own way -- primarily by adding their banner to sites at random. Once I was at Dogpile searching for surveys .. spotted a banner saying one could get paid $5 per survey at Pinecone .. clicked and was taken to a sign-up form. I bookmarked said page .. went back half an hour later, to find the link redirected me to the main part of the Pinecone site, where there is no sign up form. That happens oft. If you spot a banner, you need to be quick in joining up. I've seen it at the Uproar site, and the odd Delphi forum, too. To join, you just need to keep your eyes open for their advertising banner when surfing the web and click on it quick smart when you find it!

I'm not sure why Pinecone uses this method. Perhaps it gives them more varied demographics than panels listed on survey sites. It's the reason posts like "I spotted the Pinecone banner" appear at the odd message board. They're elusive. And Pinecone is a company worth joining. They pay $5 per survey. People's experiences seem to be overwhelmingly positive (going by the wraps at message boards) -- that or those with an issue have chosen not to go public posting about it. They seem to be active from the press around, and pay quickly.
