Universities that Pay

Jonathan Baron ,a professor of pyschology at the University of Pennsylviania, is conducting research into judgement and decision making, and has one of the most popular research sites on the web. He posts a paying survey at his web site, on average, once a week. You can check the site for times he anticipates posting something that pays. When you go there at that time (and not too much later or you will miss out as they fill quickly), you are likely to find a survey paying $3 USD or so. I used to take the surveys each week and ended up with a check for around $12-20 each month. Occasionally, surveys conducted by some of his students are posted. I enjoy those as they are often easier than those created by the good doctor himself.

The surveys are real mind stretchers. You need to be alert, and it's expected that you are fluent in English. It's a well run site..and in my experience, trustworthy. Given that site's traffic, however, be prepared to miss out, sometimes.

I quite like the different slant university research has, compared to that conducted by commercial institutions. Most of these fellows have either received a grant, and are sharing it with us in the hope they'll have some useful data to work with, or are trying to get through a course.

We're helping science. They're helping our finances. It's rewarding all round, really!
