Miles 4U if you ICQ!

Today I've decided to review one of the companies known to reward respondents each time we take a survey. The company concerned is ICQ Opinion Place, and the rewards on offer are ClickMiles, which we can accumulate, and later spend, on rewards described below.

You mean ICQ Opinion as in ICQ?

Yes, exactly. If you are a member of ICQ, you can earn rewards, or specifically ClickMiles from ICQ ClickRewards, for helping with their research. To participate in their surveys you do need to be a member of ICQ. I guess it is a restricted panel in that way, but there is nothing to stop you becoming a member, for free, at http://www.icq.com Surveys aren't exclusively about ICQ issues, either. I received one about my car, for instance. I have only ever taken surveys there but they do say at the site that as well as sharing your opinion via this means, you might also be asked to help test new products or evaluate advertising. When they would like your opinion, they will contact you by email.

And the rewards are?

I took 3 surveys over a period of a month or two, last year..For each, I was rewarded with a $5 voucher to spend at CDNow.com.

The rewards part of the program has since changed, and we are now rewarded with some ClickMiles for each survey we take. Now, the average survey leaves you with between 50-150 additional ClickMiles in your pocket. (Or rather, your account, but you know what I mean :))If you live in the United States you can use them to purchase a from an extensive range of rewards -including merchandise or miles, from their catalogue. Options for international members are comparatively limited, but we are still able to spend our Miles on music, t-shirts or merchandise etc, at CDNow. 900 ClickMiles can earn you a $15 voucher to spend there.

Anything else we should know?

Yes. You must be aged 18 years or over to be eligible to participate in ICQ Opinion. The panel is open internationally, too. The list of countries on the sign up form is quite extensive, and you can even sign up in German, Portuguese, French, Spanish, or English!

When you are signing up to take surveys, you are able to join ICQ ClickRewards, at the same time, just by checking a box. (You'll need to do so in order to spend your Click Miles.) If you wish to boost your ClickMiles account, you can earn more of them by shopping at some of the stores they list, provided you live in the United States, Canada, or the UK. The worldwide earning page is yet to list opportunities apart from taking surveys, but surveys are what I go there for, anyway.
