Give Me Organization Where I Have None

I have a mantra that I say whenever times are tough or when I am feeling like I can't face what I must, (Doing a huge pile of dishes, when I am so tired that I can barely focus or getting up in the morning when it is so early that it is actually the middle of the night by any childless person's watch, or having to take my child to a specialist for his hypospadius. (Look it up, I think I might be censored if I tried to explain it with layman's terms.) At any rate, you know the type of thing where you are running on your last energy cell and you must dig up strength just to get what ever it is done.) The saying is, "Give me strength, where I have none."

Where do we glean our strength to carry on? Life really can kick you about and when this happens, what do you do? Well, if you are reading this because you do not have the answer to this question, for this week is ORGANIZATION!

Organization is defiantly a proactive move to help prepare you and help you through times of stress. I have personally never heard even one person say, "I am so stressed out, I wish I couldn't find things!" Growing up, I was a slob. My sister Laurie and I shared a bedroom for most of our childhood. She was Felix Unger and I was Oscar Madison. Now neither one of us grew up in a very neat or organized house. Our child hood was full of chaos. My sister Laurie, tried desperately to keep the house clean, to save her sanity. She needed that organization to be able to function. I literally was so overwhelmed by the mess in our lives that I wound up giving up the hope of ever cleaning the apartment.

As an adult, I have realized that a little bit of Felix Unger in my life may not be so bad.

When I was in college, my fiancé visited my home. He slept on the couch and I slept with my mother. When I came out of my mom's room in the morning, I had a saltine pressed to my cheek. (Crawl out of the gutter there and join me on the curb, I am talking about my face.) My mother ate crackers in bed every night and I had fallen victim to her bedtime snack.
