The next section of this book covers recommendations for Reiki treatments including the session itself, treatment for people, plants, animals, food, and even first aid. The same informative descriptions of hand positions that are given for self-treatment are shown for treatment of clients, giving pictures, labels, and a paragraph explaining what that position is used to heal. The authors also cover how the client may feel during and after a treatment, which is very important. I especially enjoyed this explanation of a question that I'm asked frequently about - that is, when to move your hands from position to position, etc. "The key word for Reiki is simplicity. Let Reiki flow from your inner self. Be in your heart. Reiki will intuitively lead you to the places that need energy. Don't necessarily feel bound to the taught hand positions. Reiki will develop your inner knowledge. Follow the lead of your hands. Reiki will lead you." I believe this statement in itself shows the inner knowledge that the authors have of Reiki. Another of the special areas in this book is an area called "Reiki Positions for Enhancing Health," found in chapter 23. A good example of using the numbered hand positions is this: For sleeplessness, the recommendations are to work on hand positions BP3, H, especially H1, H2B, B1, B1A, B2, around the waist and the collarbone area. Following the pictures in the book, this is a very effective way to target a special area for your client or yourself. The book ends with the beautiful stories of the authors' own paths to Reiki. I believe it helps us on our own paths to hear how others are guided intuitively to find their way to becoming a healer. It helps us understand that there is a purpose in this lifetime, and that we must follow what our hearts are trying to tell us along the journey. So now, when one of my students asks "Are there any books I can read that will help me learn more about Reiki?" I have an answer! A special thanks goes out to the student who taught the teacher and recommended this book to me. The Divine is the origin and the source. You are connected to the source. Reiki is unconditional love." (From the book A Complete Book of Reiki Healing)
