A Study of the Reiki Principles

Oct 1, 2003 - © Rev. T. Darlene Cheek, CHt., RMT

instead of allowing those feelings to build.

We can find that place of peace within our Reiki practice by living our own unique and individual truths. If we are following our Reiki principles, we should absolutely feel at peace with ourselves and with the universe.

Just for today, I shall respect the rights of all life forms.

We are all unique beings. We must honor and respect each person as the individual that they are in spite of our differences. You will meet many different people who practice Reiki in their own way. We can all learn from each other, regardless of which path we choose to follow.

If we see each person as a spirit on a learning journey here on earth, we can be accepting and understanding of the mistakes that we all make. We are all little children here and are all learning as we go. No one is perfect. When we respect and honor all life, it will also develop the compassion that we, as healers, have to have.

These are just my thoughts on the Reiki principles, and I look forward to hearing your thoughts and feelings about this very important subject. Are you living your by Reiki principles? What areas do you find easy to follow or more difficult? How does your individual Reiki practice differ from the things we've discussed in this article?

Just for today. . .
