Joey Fatone and Lance Bass Lay it All 'On the Line'Throughout the history of rock 'n roll, musicians have frequently made the jump from music to movies. From The Beatles with 'Help' to the Spice Girls with 'Spice World,' seeing popular bands eventually on the big-screen has never been much of a shock for audiences. Therefore, it should be no surprise that one of the biggest pop bands in the world is making their jump into the world of cinema-- or at least two of its members are. Lance Bass and Joey Fatone, who compose 40% of the boy band NSYNC, are making their jump to the big-screen with Miramax's romantic-comedy, 'On the Line.' Although the guys have been making millions off-screen for the past few years (NSYNC currently hold the record for the highest selling CD in its opening week AND are their own runner-up), their presence in movies can easily be questioned. After all, music videos and concert tours are a lot different than appearing-- or in Bass's case, starring-- in a feature length film. What many people may not know, however, is that neither Bass nor Fatone is a stranger to the acting world. In fact, both of them admit that their love for acting came even before their love for music. When I got a chance to meet Lance and Joey as they promoted their new film, I had to constantly remind myself to push the fan in me aside and focus on the budding journalist within. After all, I am 21 and a huge NSYNC fan-- I own the dolls, have been to the concerts and even wore out their latest CD-- meeting two of the members was HUGE. As we sat down and talked about the movie and how being an actor differed from being pop stars, I got the dirt not only on 'On the Line' but also on what makes Lance and Joey star-struck, what they think of their fans and how growing up (and becoming fathers) will effect their next tour and their newest CD. And despite these two being two of the most successful singers around today, their modestly and down-to-Earth personality shown through and showed that even NSYNC isn't quite used to be celebrities just yet. So many singers these days are crossing over into the acting world-- Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Mandy Moore being three of the latest. What made you two decide to leave the music world temporarily behind to shine on the silver screen?
