As far as the future goes, there is only one thing Haskell is positive about-- if she does decide to audition for any more feature film roles she will stick to her promise to not take any acting lessons.

"The agents are telling me I should take acting classes, but I am not giving anyone 50 cents to teach me how to do anything," Haskell laughed. "I didn't come here and sign up for this, it just happened. Somebody suggested that I read for "The Animal" so I read with a casting person, and then one day when I was driving back from Utah I found out I got the part on a pay phone. I remember calling my mom the next morning and saying, 'I think I got this part in a movie. I don't really know.' It just all happened very, very fast and it isn't until now that it is all sinking in. I never wanted to be an actress though, so I didn't understand why I would emotionally strain myself for something I just fell into. However, I do realize that if this is what I am going to be doing to pay the rent I should do it the best that I can."

As for what is up next for Schneider, he doesn't plan on leaving his animal-side behind for too long.

"This movie was like a brainteaser and we are proud of it," he said. "We are definitely planning on doing a sequel. People always ask me to do a "Deuce Bigalow 2" but I don't know about that. I mean, other than "Empire Strikes Back," how many sequels are better than the first? You have to bring in new blood usually for it to work, and with comedies it's even harder to make a successful sequel. But with "The Animal" it is just a film that should have a sequel. It's not a story about a guy trying to play a dog, but a guy trying to not be a dog with dog parts inside of him. And that is a continuing struggle."
