"Hannibal"- A Lack of Direction Overpowers Humanistic Qualitiesthe rest of the story. For a film with such graphic and intense subject matter, the music may seem a bit out of place at times, but it's never unwanted. "Hannibal" is original, suspenseful and will leave viewers with a feeling that won't go away once the credits have rolled. It's a shame that Jodie Foster didn't sign on for the film because then maybe the focus the screenwriters had on making the audience sympathize with Hannibal would have been tolerable. Instead, the script's lack of intensity and direction alongside a luke-warm performance by Julianne Moore will leave the audience questioning if they want more since in "Hannibal" more was just the same old thing all over again.
