Just put down the Pensacola News Journal, I was much compelled to read a very interesting article about the exploits in travel of our Leader, Mr. Slick Willie himself. I have received five requests lately for help form persons who have lost limbs and can not find funding for repair or replacement. It seems the Mr. Slick has spent over $300 Million of our hard-earned tax dollars on overseas travel. Why just the trip to India cost us a whopping $50 Million. Man, I wish I had the interest that would make in just a month. I could buy a few legs for these amputees. It seems to me that there was no need to send four extra planes to India just to keep the people guessing which in which plane Mr. Slick would arrive. Here in the Land of the Free and the Home of the Brave, it also seems ironic or should I say moronic, for our Government to spend untold sums of money on travel. In addition, speaking of travel, this from another article in the same paper on Sunday. The report came form the General Accounting Office, military persons who booked their own travel arrangements and did not use the Military Travel Office, were denied reimbursement. Seems that these rouge service men, for whatever reason, ended up paying much cheaper airfares. That did not matter, you don't use the MTO, your loose you cash. Some have appealed and won, most have not. So, why all the fuss? Our government has for years, used it is own system of ripping off to make zillions of bucks for business. Let us remember that a private firm under a GSA contract runs the MTO. Mr. Slick can get on his chopper, fly to the airport, get on a plane and go anywhere in the world. Do you think only Mr. and Mrs. Slick that are traveling? I think not! There is a brigade of Secret Service personal. Not only the Secret Service, but about another hundred or so of our service persons who must tag along for the ride. A couple of extra aircraft, six or so fighter aircraft, a jumbo cargo plane to carry is limo. And on and on and on! Where is the sense? I am not so sure Mr. Slick is worth all this fuss. There are hundreds of persons in the great USA who need basic services and help. Heck, I could us a little myself at times. Being a disabled vet, I must fight the system just to get services promised for years by the establishment. What has happened to our country. As we have passed into a new era of time, is not it time to fix the mess we have created?
