World's Greatest Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 cups butter
2 cups granulated sugar
2 cups brown sugar
4 eggs
2 tsp. vanilla
5 cups blended oatmeal
4 cups flour
1 tsp. salt
5 tsp. soda
2 tsp. baking powder
24 oz. bag chocolate chips
8 oz. Hershey bar, grated
3 cups chopped walnuts (optional)

Using a mixer, cream butter and both sugars. Add eggs and vanilla.

Measure oatmeal and blend to a fine powder using a blender. In a large bowl, combine oatmeal powder with flour, salt, soda and baking powder.

Add chocolate chips, Hershey bar, and nuts.

Roll into 1" balls and place on an ungreased cookie sheet 2" apart. Bake in a 375 degree oven for 10-12 minutes.
