Step 2:
Mix and melt together:
1- 14 oz pkg individually wrapped caramels
1/2 cup evaporated milk
3/4 cup butter
Pour caramel mixture over cake.
Then, pour 1 cup chocolate chips and 1 cup chopped nuts over caramel mixture.
Pour remaining batter on top of chocolate chips/nuts. Sprinkle with additional nuts.
Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Note: nuts are optional
