In the Face of Tragedy

America the Beautiful
In this time of fear, sadness, and anger, it is important that we stick together as Americans. Put up an American flag outside your house and add a flag graphic to your website. Listen to patriotic songs. Attend a memorial service and be part of your local community. Comfort those you know who have lost loved ones. Hug everyone.

That Star-Spangled Banner Yet Waves
Since the signing of the Declaration of Independence in 1776, America has been a land of freedom, a place where individual rights are guaranteed, where anyone can live in peace regardless of his or her background or beliefs. The terrorist attacks of Tuesday, September 11, 2001, were a blow to America and everything the United States stands for. But if we do all we can to support the rescue efforts, help each other to heal, and stand together as Americans, we will find that, after what will be a long struggle, the star-spangled banner will still be waving over America.
