You can start them on videos depicting epic survivals, progress to non-fiction books with large, breathtaking photography then move onto personal accounts, biographies and fiction. Books with exquisite photos give them time to digest the information, leading to deeper understanding. They'll be more inclined to read the captions, but their interest may prompt further reading in the rest of the page. It doesn't matter how much they read, the information will still make powerful impact. Make use of the rich resource in your local library for a broader selection to offer your kids. Reading this type of material might not lead them to fame and riches, but it will make them survivors in the game of life.
