**Aerobic exercise enhances feelings of positive well-being and zest for life--a major component of self-esteem. The discipline involved in exercising will translate into other areas of your life, helping you to shape up your work or personal relationships as well as your body.

**Take care of yourself. Low self-esteem sometimes begins with dissatisfaction about appearance, so take time to look your best as often as you can. It will help make you feel good about yourself. Feeling good about ourselves is critical to our healing. Remember that building our self-esteem is a stepping stone in the right direction.
