We are having a baby and the boys are so excited! I guess this could mean the end of raising boys and the beginning of raising boys with a little sister?? 50 50 chance I suppose.
When I first announced that I was expecting, the entire family of males all had shocked expressions and not a word was uttered. I stood there...waiting for *something*...My husband let out an audible exhale and that seemed to break the ice. Nathanial was over the top from the first. He talks to the baby, talks about the baby and makes sure to incorperate the fact that we are expecting into every conversation that he has with anyone in the world. Gabe on the other hand was at first thinking he had a vote in weather the baby was for real or not. He decided that he didnt want a baby until I reminded him that he would be a coveted *big brother* now. That swayed him. I have to say that Nathanial acts suprizingly sweet and anxious about my eating and overall health. Now that I am in hurl mode, he is concerned that I am not getting enough. This spawned a discussion about how babies in the beginning of pregnancy dont require their moms to eat anything extra. Since all I can tolerate is really sour things, he is constantly thinking up imaginary recipes that make your mouth pucker just to imagine them. eeewww... All in all, this will be an experience for the entire family since both of the boys are comfortable with their emotions and willing to talk about their feeling no matter what. I think I am in for a looooonnnnggg pregnancy. Go To Page: 1
