As the season approaches, my online shopping becomes more frantic-not because I am stressed about Christmas, but because the influx of toys that are supposed to be age appropriate are unbelievably NOT appropriate for ANY age! Why on earth would a child in the Preschool age group have any interest or burning need to have a wrestler who shouts obscenities with a press of a button? Of course, the wrestling ring is sold separately.
The next chance you get, go to any online toy store and do a search for your child's age group and the site will automatically sort through the gazillions of choices, leaving you with a mere 500 or so to choose from. Of those 500, 450 of them will be directly related to television and most of those will incorporate some sort of violent annihalation or conqering hero type action figure. For those of you who were here this time last year, YES I am going to bring up the pink Easy Bake oven problem too...Why is it that no one can create something similar without it being that unatural high gloss pink color? At the very least, have the box with a simple picture of the contents and skip the frilly girls looking stunned part..sheesh..boys cant cook? All this ranting leads me to this week's poll question. What type of toys do you purchace for your boys? Please vote and let me know your thoughts.. thanks for reading. Amy atb Go To Page: 1
