The Petbunny mail list's Binkyfest 99 - a festival of bunny peace, love and rock 'n roll in the tradition of Woodstock - was a stunning success. Hundreds of bunnies apparently made the trek to enjoy the performances of some of their favorite rabbit rock groups. Lots of fun was had by all with hardly any rowdiness or rioting to spoil the festival spirit.
Maran Fulvi's bun, Wilbee, reported on two of the biggest crowd-pleasers - even including the lyrics of some of the most popular rabbit tunes for the benefit of those who missed out on the event. Talking Ears performed their smash hit, "Chewing Up the House": "Was this my beautiful house?" Slaves ask themselves, "Was this my antique rug?" Silly slaves. Wrap those wires, don't you forget Hiding them in little nooks Everybunny's learning how, Come and shred some phonebooks with me! Sadly, most bunnies will never record a smash hit song or have a chance to participate in a Binkyfest, but many still find a creative outlet on the Net.
