First of all, which one to tackle? I'm not counting the pieced quilt tops as unfinished. Is that cheating? I've several of those! I first looked at the blocks from swaps with the gals on the list. A green block swap we did a couple of years ago would need more blocks made to make anything of size. The alphabet block swap will make up fairly quickly. I looked at the sets of appliqued teddy bear blocks for baby quilts that I've started in two different sizes. Not enough of either size to finish quickly. I'd have to get several more blocks done. I also have nearly all the blocks done for another "Paper Dolls" quilt but I don't know where the book is so that would mean a major search. I have a box of fabric that our daughter-in-law from Maryland sent for another Trip Around The World. I made one for our grandson's newly redecorated room last year (twin beds) and I need to make the other one. Do I call that an unfinished object? Then I ran across the sample used last February for filler blocks, the snowball block. It needed a border and something done in the center of the snowball blocks. I had originally thought a design handquilted but no time for that. Did I have more of the dark red used for the snowball corners? A hasty search brought that fabric to light. Hurrah! I measured through the center of the piece, cut and applied a border strip for the sides, another measure through the center and the top and bottom border strips were on. What for the center of the snowball blocks? Luckily I remembered some hearts that were already fused to webbing from another project (unfinished, of course!) I dragged them out and fused them on the snowball filler blocks. I didn't want this to be symmetrical so I used different sizes of hearts. I noted
