If you are reading this in mid-December or later, you have waited too long to find a gift for that quilter sister, friend, whoever. But I guess you know that! I searched through catalogs for a few items you can probably find in your favorite quilt shop or, if it's not TOO late, on the internet. I pretty well covered items I would like for myself in last year's list. Some are repeats (favorites) but maybe you will find some new ones so here we go: Quilts Books Quilting Tools
Miscellaneous
There's a broad price range in these gift suggestions. Most items can be found in a quilt or fabric shop. For yourself, hint, hint to DH, that last item under "Miscellaneous" is a lot of fun to play around with. Dare I suggest a new sewing machine? (Janome has just introduced 3 new Quilter's Companion models that are very nice) I imagine you thought of these things for yourself before I mentioned them! Another valuable quilting aid is a good lamp. How often have you complained about the light in your sewing room or by your favorite chair? There's still time to make a table cover, tree skirt or wall hanging from the Christmas panels in the shops. I usually buy those at reduced priced at the end of the season and they are right there in my stash for Christmas making the next year. Often there is a new one on display early in the season that I just can't resist. Matching fabrics for front and back can be machine quilted for pillows or a Christmas couch throw for your own home.
