Applique In Quilts Made EasyI entered into an alphabet block swap and used interfacing to attach the kite, and fusible web for the letter K, then zig-zaged in place, and added a string tail to the kite. Monofilament thread can be used for the top thread. I used smoke color for the kite block. If you do not have thread to match the motif, use a lighter shade if the background is light, and a darker shade if the background is dark. You're all set now to make that Thanksgiving or Christmas wall hanging you've hesitated to try for two years. A little practice and you will be a pro. Jump in! Applique!
