One of my New Years resolutions will be to get more active with my dogs! Maybe not to the extent of Gord Travis who is one of several hundred top dog trainers in North America who regularly join forces to make up a show of travelling superdogs. They are invited to tryouts, and if their dogs are selected, they become part of the show. You won't get rich, but it's loads of fun, and the show pays for your hotel and expenses, Travis said. "It doesn't cost you anything, and you meet trainers and their dogs from all over."
This site has some action shots and actual bios of the dogs them selves. They are the California Canine DiscMasters, some of the most recognized and popular dogs in the world. They have entertained audiences from Newfoundland to San Diego.
Dog Play has an exhaustive list of activities for you and your dog to get involved in this year. If you share my resolution to get more active with your dog here is plenty to spark your imagination!
One dog-related site which has posted some New Year's resolutions, is the Dog World Online for 1999, including adding chat, a "My Dog" page where you can submit graphic and text material, and some improvements to the question-and-answer page "Help the Canine Mind". Watch for changes to their bulletin board page too.
And to help you plan for the year ahead, the Purina site is offering to mail (USA only) a free 1999 calendar if you take the time to complete their online questionnaire.
