Over the years, punk music has continued to push the boundaries of speed, volume, and
intensity originally established by rock ‘n roll. When things get heavy and the melody turns
percussive, people like to call it “hardcore”.
Categorizing music has its time and place, but when it comes down to it, it’s all punk music. The general aesthetics and intent are the same. The sound is just a little different. “Hardcore” is everything from pseudo-metal mayhem to ripping thrash these days, and I don’t have the time or patience to offer my opinions on what passes off as “real” hardcore. Either way, it’s inconsequential. For all the hardcore enthusiasts out there, this article will compile a perfect starting place for your fix on the net. 1) Gauze http://home8.highway.ne.jp/distort/gauze... You’ll find tons of photos of his artwork from over the years. Great stuff. 4)625! Records 625! is an impressive label out of California. You’ll find information about all those projects on the site, which has a great, easy to look at design. Hopefully, this will help get you on to the path of some great hardcore music information available on-line. You’ll find even more links within each of these sites, enough to keep Go To Page: 1 2
