One option is Onelist. http://www.onelist.com.
Onelist is a huge site that sponsers web mailing communities. It is very simple to set up your own, and Onelist also provides a search engine so that others can find your group. Messages are posted, and the entire group can read and respond. It is a great way to find support and share information.
Another option is Listbot.com. http://www.listbot.com
Listbot has a few different options for creating mailing lists. You can create a newsletter, where you post messages and articles to members on a weekly, monthly, or bi-monthly basis. There is also the option to enable members to respond to articles, thereby creating a community.
AOL also offers an option, if you are an AOL user. In Mail Center under addressbook, create a new group. Then list e-mail addresses of others suffering from PTC. You can use this as a newsletter, posting weekly or monthly articles. It can also be used to create a community. However, non-AOL member on your list may have to explore other options to manage the e-mail addresses of others in the group.
FINDING MEMBERS
In order to have a successful list or mailing group, you need members to join you. Creating a web site is one way to do this. There are hundreds of sites that offer web hosting. Find one suitable to you, and create a site describing your communtity. When your site is completed, you can add it to search engines such as AOL NetFind, Lycos, or YaHoo. Most of these are free to list your page in their engine. The site that is hosting your page will most likely offer other options as well. Be sure to list all the names for PTC in your list of keywords, so everyone can find your page. Also make sure to list an e-mail address so that those interested can easily subscribe to your community.
That's all for now, Good luck! Freedom
