When does this so-called New Millennium start? What's going to happen to the world when the year 2000 rolls around? Will time clocks on computers become completely disoriented and useless? Much of the world now functions with the aid of computer technology - electricity, communications, banking - all are dependent on machines. What will happen if the machines all fail? Some people believe that the final war, the War of Armageddon, will occur in the year 2007. They have been keeping track of prophetic events with a countdown that began in 1967, the year the Six-Day War between Israel and Arab nations began and Israeli forces moved into Sinai Desert and Jordan. This war has been continuing sporadically ever since, and will probably play a large role in the final war. The Goodnews Christian Ministry offers yet another view of what lies ahead with a chronology, maps and graphs to help people understand what the Book of Revelation is talking about. But can anyone really understand the prophecies in Revelation? Maybe such knowledge is impossible before we are swept into the maelstrom of destruction brought on by these final days. Rather than refuting the words of Scripture, prophets and seers through the ages have all foreseen the coming of the final days. Mother Shipton with her prophecies written in a cave, Nostradamus, with his prophecies hidden in the words of strange astrological predictions, Edgar Cayce, the sleeping prophet, these visionaries, along with the Biblical prophets, have all spoken of what lies ahead for the world, seeing similar visions and interpreting them each in his or her own fashion. Some people even relate some of today's music to the War of Armageddon and the end of the world as we know it.
